The VAANP hopes this finds you and yours safe and well as we wind down 2020 in these colder, darker, more inward winter months. Our hope is that we emerge with renewed strength and hope in the New Year.
In spite of the stillness that winter creates, for the NDs working towards licensure in VA, this is our busy time. The Legislative Session runs fast and furious this year from mid January to late February. We are anticipating what this Session will look like during the pandemic. For one, ALL meetings and hearings are virtual, and our legislative affairs consultant has advised us that flexibility will be key as we navigate this entirely new terrain.
When the VAANP was created in 2005 with our first licensure bill sponsored by Sen. Petersen, we weren’t aware this would become a 15 year movement! For those of you who have already contributed to our campaign, thank you SO much, you are part of a movement to improve VA health care from the ground up, and we are encouraged by your support.
We have witnessed the success of naturopathic medicine first hand, and know it has so much to offer during this time. As leading experts in prevention, NDs have an important role to play in improving health outcomes.
We have a shortage of primary care docs in Virginia and we are poised to fill the gap. We can intervene with solutions in the opioid crisis. We have come a LONG way since 2005, and there is not turning back.
AND when you support our movement, we are extending our gratitude with free immune supportive gifts.
Wishing you wellness this Holiday Season
